Location Rec

Image
The location that I have chosen are all interior settings. For example, the locations that I have stated in my script are dinning table, unknown space, living room etc. The choice of using interior location makes it easier to control and adjust the lighting, and it also made it more suitable for me to build my own set to fit my story narrative and mood. The use of an interior setting also adds to the emotion of feeling trapped and imprisoned that the protagonist (Krittika) feels by the words and sayings that she remembers and still feels controlled by.  Example of location,  Dinning Table Dining table-day.  By using an interior setting, allows me to build my own set such as using cloth as a backdrop to reflect the mood of the film, and add to the aesthetic and colour scheme of the film, but it also allows me to add essential props to the setting such as a table, fishbowl etc, which would've been harder to use if I had chosen a location that was outside. My setting is near a big win

Characterization The husband   His character is represented as never being home and not communicating with his wife well, as he is seen communicating with her through post it notes. This gives an audience an insight of their relationship. He is presented to come across quite bossy or controlling as he always asks the wife to do things for him, whereas he is never home or seen doing much. The wife She is represented as playing along in his game of not communicating and only communicates through notes. Which she reflects how she isn't happy with by wanting a divorce. The audience has sympathy for her character as the husband is seen always ordering her to do things for him. Narrative  Three Act structure  ACT 1: The film starts with an introduction to the protagonist (the husband), He performs a conflicting incident as he pours milk down the drain just to ask his wife to buy more.  Bunker Characterization  JOHN He is the only character that is visually in the film. His character is represented as someone who is recording a daily vlog everyday but with little to no understanding with why he has to do it, which reflects to us that he is in some sort of apocalypse or is isolated. His character development is very noticeable as John started out to be confused but calm. However,  as the days go by, we see his character starting to lose his minds and become more aggressive and stressed out.  Mise en scene  Cinematography  The film contains a large amount of medium shots, which gives the film a sense of realism as it reflects what a self filmed vlog would look like in reality. The medium shots are contrasted with the close up shot of when his character is fully developed and we see him lose his mind. The close up shot enhances his frustrated emotions that he has been bottling up.  The shots in the film are mostly straight forward shots as it is mimicking a vlog type of

Characterization Protagonist She is represented as someone who is mourning the lost of her partner. She is seen to be visibly upset and traumatised by the lost. She portrays a sort of empty feeling to the audience which matches the mood of the film.  Mike  Mike is represented as a memory, we later find out that he was her partner but sadly passed away. We learn about him through the protagonist as she takes a walk down memory lane. We actually learn more about him and his habits compared to what is known about the protagonist. Narrative  3 ACT structure   ACT1: We are first established with a medium close up shot of a man (Mike), smoking a cigarette, this gives the audience context that will build up for later on in the film.  We are then introduced to the protagonist. She is seen going through a box of Mikes old things, which she then comes across his lighter. This gives us a link to the establishing scene at the start of the film. The use of going through his old stuff reflects a fee
