Student example film :Bunker
Bunker Characterization JOHN He is the only character that is visually in the film. His character is represented as someone who is recording a daily vlog everyday but with little to no understanding with why he has to do it, which reflects to us that he is in some sort of apocalypse or is isolated. His character development is very noticeable as John started out to be confused but calm. However, as the days go by, we see his character starting to lose his minds and become more aggressive and stressed out. Mise en scene Cinematography The film contains a large amount of medium shots, which gives the film a sense of realism as it reflects what a self filmed vlog would look like in reality. The medium shots are contrasted with the close up shot of when his character is fully developed and we see him lose his mind. Characterization The husband His character is represented as never being home and not communicating with his wife well, as he is seen communicating with her through post it notes. This gives an audience an insight of their relationship. He is presented to come across quite bossy or controlling as he always asks the wife to do things for him, whereas he is never home or seen doing much. The wife She is represented as playing along in his game of not communicating and only communicates through notes. Which she reflects how she isn't happy with by wanting a divorce. The audience has sympathy for her character as the husband is seen always ordering her to do things for him. Narrative Three Act structure ACT 1: The film starts with an introduction to the protagonist (the husband), He performs a conflicting incident as he pours milk down the drain just to ask his wife to buy more.
